It utilizes two 8″ paper-pulp woofers, adapted from M&K’s acclaimed subwoofer designs, optimized for in-wall applications where space is limited. These long-throw drivers use aluminum shorting rings for reduced distortion and deliver tight, controlled bass with exceptional dynamics.

Thanks to its sealed, shallow-depth enclosure and opposing driver mounting, the IW28S eliminates unwanted resonances while maintaining structural stability, ensuring consistent, clean bass response. The design is tailored for use with the dedicated M&K VA500 subwoofer amplifier, which supplies precise control and ample power.
