Flagship of Homage Tradition collection, Amati is the new reference floor
standing loudspeaker in the Sonus faber catalogue, right after Il Cremonese, Lilium and Aida,
from which inherits many technical solutions and patents.
A REVAMPED TRADITION
Homage Tradition collection is a new tribute to the mastery of Italian violin-making; the now classic lute shape, the hallmark of Sonus faber production, has been revisited and taken to new heights by embodying both the classic lines of the Homage collection and those of the Lilium cabinet, thus giving new volumes to the speakers of this collection.
THE AESTHETIC OF THE “LA DOLCE VITA”
The world of ancient shipyards and the tradition of Italy’s shipwrights are the essence of the inspiration of the design of the Tradition collection. The new Wengè finish with maple inlays is the true aesthetic novelty of the collection and immediately links it with the elegant and timeless design of the most famous Italian motor-boats of the ``La Dolce Vita`` with their iconic wooden hulls.
FEATURES
All the speakers of the Homage Tradition collection are the fruit of painstaking electro-acoustic research.
The patents and technological solutions that have been developed from the Sonus faber to Aida
and implemented and adapted with Lilium, Il Cremonese and the Olympica collection are once again
applied and taken to even greater heights, adapting them to the needs of these new projects.
CABINET
The violin shape of the speaker cabinet is the fruit of careful research and major restyling. The curves of the sides change and double, giving these speakers larger volumes especially on the back and making possible a better control of the internal resonances. The brushed aluminum enhances the line and the “Sf” logo in silk-screened glass placed right at the center of the surface.
THE VOICE OF SONUS FABER
Mid and High frequencies that make the "Voice of Sonus faber" are here determined by a 28mm silk dome tweeter with ”Arrow Point” DADTM (Damped Apex Dome), implemented with a natural wood acoustic labyrinth rear chamber, and a midrange M15 XTR-04 with cellulose pulp cone and Neodymium motor system. This iconic configuration of tweeter and midrange maintain the effortless, warm and involving timber that has become our trademark.
STEALTH ULTRAFLEX™
Visible element is the back panel in extruded aluminum, the external part of the Stealth Ultraflex™ system characterized by a laminar tuning. The outline of this part acts as a vent favoring the flow of air through the duct while controlling its speed and reducing any turbulence and hence distortion. The back too is part of the Exosqueleton system complete with Dampshelves on the top and on the bottom of the cabinet.
FINISHES
The new Wengè finish with maple inlays is combined with the aluminum brushed with Titanium finish and with the leather on the front features the new coffee color. The essence of the walnut wood is preserved in the traditional “Red” finish with brushed black aluminum and the leather of the black front in line with the finish of the flagship models Aida, Lilium and Il Cremonese.
ZERO VIBRATION TRANSMISSION™
The speaker system is mechanically decoupled from the floor by the patented Zero Vibration Transmission™ optimized suspension system with alternating surfaces metal/elastomer/metal overlapped inside the bracket-spike group. This system reduces the transmission of spurious vibrations to the listening room; also acoustic feedback phenomena are inhibited.
